The fine print, in big print

Revised

Every rule behind the number we send you, written down in one place. These are the policies we honor for every pickup in the City of LA.

Price Lock

The price we confirm in writing, by email, is the price you pay for 14 days, as long as what is there matches your photos or list.

Found a second mattress behind the first one? The crew prices just the extra, at the same rates as our Price Wall, before anyone lifts it. You can say no, and the rest of the job keeps its locked price.

Every price is all-in: a two-person crew, carry-out from anywhere on the property up to 3 flights, bed and table disassembly, haul, dump and recycling fees, and a sweep-up. Above the 3rd floor with no elevator, it is $25 per extra flight, shown before you book.

Paying after the job

No deposit, and we don't ask for card details when you book. When the crew marks the job done, with drop-off photos, we email a secure payment link: card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

No money moves unless you replied DEAL or tapped Accept first, and the pile is actually gone.

Windows and the $25 late credit

We only show windows that a partner crew can really make, as soon as today when a crew has room. We don't promise a same-day slot. Windows are two hours long, usually between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Same-day costs the same as next week.

We email you when the crew is on the way. If they arrive more than 60 minutes after your confirmed window without a heads-up, we take $25 off. That credit comes out of our share, not the crew’s.

Cancel and reschedule

During our launch period you can cancel or reschedule for free, any time. If that ever changes, we'll say so here and in your confirmation before it applies to you.

Not accepted

We'll tell you where these can go instead. Household chemicals can go to an LA S.A.F.E. Center.

  • Hazardous waste: paint, solvents, pool chemicals, motor oil, propane tanks, batteries, asbestos, medical waste
  • Construction and demolition debris, dirt, concrete, rock and roofing
  • Cars, boats and trailers
  • Built-ins that need demolition
  • Items with active bedbugs or mold, and biohazard cleanups
  • Buildings with 5+ units and businesses, until LA Sanitation confirms
  • ZIPs outside the launch list

Damage claims

Send us a photo within 48 hours of the pickup. Partner crews must carry liability insurance before we book them. We'll handle the claim with the crew's company and keep you posted until it's settled.

Partner checklist

Goner doesn't own trucks. Goner itself holds no hauling permit; we book independent LA hauling companies, and each one has to clear this checklist before it gets a job. Your confirmation names the company coming to your door.

  • A current City of LA AB 939 hauler permit, with the number on file
  • Commercial auto and general liability insurance, with certificates on file
  • Two people per truck
  • Before-and-after photos, plus drop-off photos and dump, recycling or donation tickets for every load
  • No subcontracting without our consent; illegal dumping ends the partnership

Brand-new in LA.No money until it's gone.

Loud about it, too. Crews that passed our checklist do the lifting. No money moves until you say DEAL and the pile is actually gone.
