Accessibility, straight up

Revised

gonerjunk.com should work for everybody, whatever you browse with. The bar we hold it to: WCAG 2.2, level AA, from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

How we build it

Real HTML headings, landmarks and labels. Text and buttons that pass contrast checks. A focus ring you can actually see. Pictures that carry information get text alternatives, and decorative ones stay out of your screen reader’s way. Every form and the Pile Pricer work from a keyboard and with screen readers.

If your device asks for reduced motion, the stickers stay put and the ticker stops (there’s a pause switch on it too). No accessibility overlay widgets, ever.

Where it's still rough

The sticker drawings are decoration. Every price they show is also written out as text, and the Pile Pricer reads your estimate out once you stop tapping.

Pricing works best from photos. If taking or uploading photos is hard for you, describe your stuff on our Contact page instead: what it is, how big, where it's sitting. We'll price it from your description, checking the details with you before anything is booked.

Hit a wall? Tell us

If any part of this site fights you, holler on our Contact page: say which page, and what it did. You'll hear back within two business days, and we'll get you what you needed some other way.

Booking with a note

Rather skip the photo form? Put it in words on our Contact page: what's going, where it's sitting and your ZIP. We'll take your request from there and email your price.
